DGES social scholarships for Bachelor's and Master's at the University of Porto

The DGES social scholarship is a means-tested financial aid programme administered nationally by the Direção-Geral do Ensino Superior (DGES) and locally by the Serviços de Ação Social da Universidade do Porto (SASUP). It supports students enrolled in Bachelor's and Master's cycles at the University of Porto to cover tuition fees and living costs. Awards are granted for an academic year and may be renewed subject to academic progression and income conditions. Amounts vary by household income and needs, and may include tuition coverage, a monthly living allowance and additional supplements for mobility or disability.

Applicants must be enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's cycle at the University of Porto and be Portuguese nationals or citizens of an EU member state; eligibility also requires household income below the national threshold, regularised tax and social security status, and minimum academic progress.
