The Soutien financier non remboursable is a non-repayable financial support scheme run by the University of Fribourg (Uni-Social) for enrolled students. It provides one-off aid to cover essential needs such as tuition fees and living expenses for students facing acute financial hardship. Support is limited to a maximum duration of 12 months and is intended to help students whose financial situation endangers continuation of their studies. Eligibility includes Bachelor, Master and Doctoral students, with additional rules for international students.

Applicants must be regularly enrolled at the University of Fribourg in a Bachelor, Master or Doctorate programme, demonstrate financial hardship, have received a negative decision from the cantonal scholarship office, and (for international students) be in at least their 3rd semester; applicants must justify an inability to combine studies with paid work.
