About this opportunity

The Ireland Fellows Programme Frank Ferguson Fellowship in Engineering 2026-2027 funds up to two Master’s-level engineering places in Ireland (one male, one female) for eligible Zambian candidates. The fellowship is fully funded by the Irish Government and is administered with the University of Galway and the Engineering Institution of Zambia, supporting study in selected Master’s engineering programmes in Ireland for the 2026/2027 academic year.

Eligibility

Applicants must be a resident national of Zambia, have at least three years of relevant work experience, be a member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia, hold an engineering degree with Merit or higher, and be eligible for admission to a Master’s engineering programme at the University of Galway.

How to apply

The process comprises three stages: Preliminary Application, Detailed Application (including a research proposal), and Interviews.
