Fellows are selected by the Swedish Academies and appointed to Swedish universities which take long-term responsibility for the individuals. The programme funds research work to enable recipients to focus on long-term research questions and develop their research groups.

Eligibility

Candidates must have obtained their PhDs after 1 January 2019 (exceptions possible for documented leaves such as parental leave, military service or extended sick leave). Swedish universities are invited to nominate candidates, and a nominee must approve the nomination.

Application

Swedish universities nominate candidates electronically via the Foundation's e-application portal; nominations must include CV, publication list, career statement, project proposal and other required appendices.
