Information

The Research in Industrial Projects for Students (RIPS) is a fully funded internship program where teams of undergraduate and graduate students work on real-world research projects proposed by industry or government sponsors. Each student team, guided by an academic mentor and an industry supervisor, investigates the problem and presents results orally and in writing at the end of the program, with some teams chosen to publish or present at national conferences. The program provides a broad range of support and incentives through the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (IPAM) at UCLA.
