Information

The Research in Industrial Projects for Students (RIPS) is a funded summer research program for college students to work in teams on real research problems proposed by industry or public sector sponsors, with mentorship from academic and industry mentors. Each student team conducts independent research and presents results orally and in writing at the end of the program, with some teams publishing or presenting at national conferences after the program. The program provides a stipend, travel allowance, on-campus housing and meals, a site visit with sponsors, and limited support for future conference travel; international students and recent graduates are eligible.
