AEIP Scholars Programme Scholarship

The AEIP Scholars Programme Scholarship is a collaborative research initiative that selects ten scholars (five from Africa and five from Europe) paired into Africa–Europe teams to co-create solution-oriented research outputs aligned with the AU‑EU Innovation Agenda. The programme supports peer learning, science communication, and innovation activities across a 12‑month period (July 2026–June 2027), with the top three pairs invited and sponsored to present at the AEIP Stakeholder Meeting in Europe. The scholarship is hosted by the Africa‑Europe Innovation Platform (AEIP) and focuses on strengthening intercontinental academic partnerships and capacity building.

Joint research collaboration and peer learning; science communication support; opportunity to present at the AEIP Stakeholder Meeting (top three pairs sponsored); strengthened Africa–Europe partnerships; recognition for impactful and scalable solutions; co-creation of solution-based research outputs.

Applicants must be aged 25–35, based in Africa or Europe, and enrolled in a PhD, postdoctoral, or further studies programme at the time of application; they must have ongoing or completed research aligned with the AU‑EU Innovation Agenda Capacities for Science action.

Submit an expression of interest through the official online application portal and include a research abstract; ensure all eligibility criteria are met before the 31 August 2026 deadline.
