Information

The Carlo-Schmid-Programm supports internships at international organizations, EU institutions, and selected non-governmental organizations. It comprises two strands: one for self-initiated internships and another for specific advertised internship opportunities. The programme facilitates placements for participants to gain professional experience in international and EU institutions and selected NGOs.

Eligibility

Applicants must have German citizenship and have completed at least two semesters of a bachelor's degree or an equivalent basic course of study at application deadline; a university degree must not be older than two years. Good academic performance, very good English and, if applicable, good knowledge of another modern foreign language and prior engagement with international topics are required.

Application

DAAD and the Studienstiftung publish specific internship calls; applicants apply to one or two advertised internship posts and must tailor their application to the specific profile of the internship. Applications are submitted via the DAAD/Carlo‑Schmid call.
