The Construction Project Engineer is a professional, paid position within CERN’s Site and Civil Engineering Department, contributing to the delivery and handover of complex construction projects. The role involves supervising construction works, coordinating with consultants and contractors, ensuring compliance with specifications and safety, and participating in commissioning and procurement phases. The post is offered on a fixed-term contract with the possibility of extension up to 36 months and includes on-the-job and formal training.

Eligibility

Applicants must be nationals of a CERN Member State or Associate Member State (subject to exclusions listed) and hold a master’s degree with 2 to 6 years professional experience since graduation or a PhD with a maximum of 3 years professional experience; candidates with only a bachelor’s degree are not eligible. Applicants must never have had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
