Information

The Electro-Mechanical Technician position at CERN is a paid, technical trainee/early-career role working on the development of High Temperature Superconducting (HTS) cables and coils, including design, assembly, commissioning and operation of winding and cabling machines. The role involves quality control and measurement of REBCO tapes, PLC programming, wiring and integration tasks. The contract includes on-the-job and formal training and may be extended up to 36 months.

Eligibility

Applicants must be nationals of a CERN Member State or Associate Member State (certain nationalities currently excluded). By the application deadline they must have a maximum of 2 years of professional experience since graduation in a technical or administrative field and their highest qualification must be a general secondary education diploma or a shorter non-university degree; they must not hold a bachelor, master or PhD and must never have had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
