The Western North Carolina STEM Research Fellows Program is a year-long initiative for teachers in the Appalachian GEAR UP districts to support integration of research and experimental design opportunities for middle school students. Fellows receive mentorship and access to Society for Science resources, along with stipends and budgets to support their activities.
