The Thermo Fisher Scientific Junior Innovators Challenge (Thermo Fisher JIC) is a competition for K-12 students where finalists work in teams to tackle STEM design challenges, such as creating a cost-effective solar-powered home and developing a battery-powered lighting solution. The event emphasizes collaboration, problem-solving and the application of scientific concepts to real-world problems. Finalists participate in activities designed to showcase teamwork, critical thinking and technical communication during a finals week.
