ASEAN-Korea Young Scholar Research Grant (YSRG) 2026

The ASEAN-Korea Young Scholar Research Grant (YSRG) is a competitive research grant supporting postgraduate researchers from ASEAN Member States and the Republic of Korea to conduct fieldwork related to Southeast Asia, ASEAN–Korea relations, and regional dynamics. The grant funds locally grounded research and academic exchange and includes participation in an online Young Scholar Research Workshop. The project is part of the ASEAN-Korea Platform for Great Minds (AKPGM) supported by the Government of the Republic of Korea through the ASEAN-Korea Cooperation Fund (AKCF) and implemented by the Korean Association of Southeast Asian Studies (KASEAS).

Round-trip international airfare for approved fieldwork; monthly fieldwork stipend (USD 1,400) for up to three months; honoraria (USD 200) for local research advisors; participation in the online Young Scholar Research Workshop.

Postgraduate researchers from ASEAN Member States and the Republic of Korea conducting fieldwork on Southeast Asia, ASEAN–Korea relations, or related regional topics.
