Information

The Summer Undergraduate Research Diversity (SURD) Program is a 10-week summer research program run by the UC Berkeley College of Chemistry for undergraduate students interested in Chemistry, Chemical Biology, and Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering. Participants work 40 hours per week in research groups and receive professional development and mentoring. The program includes a stipend and support for housing, food, and travel.

Benefits

$6000 stipend; housing, food and travel allowance; 10 weeks of full-time research experience and mentoring.

Eligibility

Undergraduate students (must be 18 & over). Undergraduates from HBCUs and HSIs, students from 4-year universities, and community college students are encouraged to apply. No prior experience necessary.
