The Summer Undergraduate Research Program in Computational Physical Chemistry is a 10-week intensive interdisciplinary research experience in theoretical and computational physical chemistry hosted at NYU. Participants work closely with a faculty mentor in the Simons Center for Computational Physical Chemistry on a research project and engage in collaborative work with a peer cohort. The program runs on NYU’s Washington Square campus and includes a monetary stipend for selected students.

Eligibility

Open to U.S. students who do not already attend NYU; applicants must be college freshmen, sophomores, or juniors. Women and underrepresented minorities are strongly encouraged to apply. No prior research experience is required.

Application

Submit a completed application by midnight ET March 1, 2026 including CV, academic history, unofficial transcripts, a Statement of Purpose (up to 500 words), and two letters of recommendation.
