Dartmouth Engineering Summer Research Experience

The Dartmouth Engineering Summer Research Experience is a summer research program that places non‑Dartmouth undergraduate students from schools without active research programs into Dartmouth engineering labs. Participants work closely with Dartmouth faculty and students to gain research experience and mentoring across a broad range of engineering disciplines. The inaugural 2025 cohort is expected to admit two students and is intended to strengthen the pipeline to graduate research and STEM careers.

Research experience in Dartmouth labs, close faculty and student mentoring, majority of program costs and housing covered.

Open to any science and engineering major who is an undergraduate at a school without active research programs, including students from historically underserved schools and first‑generation college students.
