Information

The Pacific Asia Science Olympiad (PASO) is an international student research competition focused on environmental and health challenges. It invites middle and high school students to submit original research projects in categories including biodiversity & ecology, health & human biology, technology & innovation, and mathematics & computing. Selected finalists present via video and may be invited to virtual Q&A sessions and online presentations judged by a panel of expert scientists. Awards are given per category (Gold, Silver, Bronze, Honorable Mention) plus overall Grand Prize and Innovative Scholar Award.

Eligibility

Open to middle school (Junior Division, Grades 7-9) and high school (Senior Division, Grades 10-12) students in Asia Pacific regions. Teams of up to four members are allowed; research must be original and conducted/presented in English.

Application

Complete an online application and submit an original research paper as a PDF; selected candidates submit a presentation video (YouTube URL) and may attend virtual Q&A sessions. Finalists pay the participation fee.
