Code for Africa Media Sentinel Fellowships in West Africa 2025

Code for Africa is offering three Media Sentinel Fellowships as 10-month part-time positions for frontline grassroots researchers in Benin, Guinea, and Mauritania. The programme focuses on social media listening and analysis to detect and counter information manipulation and disinformation. Fellows work with CfA’s iLAB team to support early warning alerts and will receive training, mentoring, and a stipend.

Stipend; training and mentoring in traditional and social media monitoring.

Applicants must be non-partisan, fluent in English or French, have access to a reliable laptop and internet, understand platforms like Facebook, Signal, Telegram, WhatsApp, and X, and be available for weekly one-hour virtual meetings.
