Climathon for the Amazon region awards

The Climathon for the Amazon region awards is a competition-style program where young people in the Amazon region form teams to prototype solutions addressing bioeconomy challenges and forest conservation. Teams present project ideas to be prototyped, with winners receiving scholarships, mentoring, and network access through YCL and UNLEASH. The event connected young innovators with experts and peers to develop solutions for local climate and biodiversity issues in the Amazon.

Winners earned scholarships for the YCL course and mentoring; access to the YCL/UNLEASH network platform for 1 year.

Selection prioritized young people who were born and/or live in the Amazon region; opportunities to join as an Idea Leader or Idea Contributor.

Interested parties could apply as an Idea Leader or as an Idea Contributor.
