Information

The national qualifying competition selects top secondary school students in mathematics and physics to form a team representing Algeria at the International Olympiad in Astronomy and Astrophysics (IOAA) for the 2026 cycle. Participation targets students in their second or third year of secondary school who are enrolled in mathematics, technical mathematics, or experimental sciences and who have a semester average of 17/20 or higher in mathematics and physics. An ensuing training program is planned for the 60 top students to prepare them for international competition.

Eligibility
