Jugend forscht – 62. Wettbewerbsrunde (Jugend forscht 2027)

Jugend forscht is Germany's national youth research competition for school pupils, trainees and early university students to present innovative research projects in MINT (mathematics, informatics, natural sciences and technology). The programme accepts individual or two- or three-person teams and proceeds through regional, state and national levels, culminating in a federal final. Cash and material prizes are awarded at all three competition levels.

Young people up to 21 years; younger pupils must be at least in 4th grade in the year of registration; students may be in at most their first year of study. Reference date for these rules is 31 December 2026. Individuals, pairs or teams of three are allowed.

Online registration with project topic and short description via the Jugend forscht registration portal; a written report is required in January 2027; regional competitions begin in February 2027.
