Studienstipendium der Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung

The Studienstipendium of the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung is a scholarship programme providing financial support for university study and doctoral (promotion) candidates. It supports both domestic students (including German citizens and those who obtained their university entrance qualification in Germany) and international students for study or Master's programmes in Germany. The programme gives priority to BAföG recipients, first-generation university students and applicants from DAC countries. Applications are submitted via an online portal during specified application periods.

Financial support for university study and promotion (doctoral studies).

Domestic applicants: German citizens and 'Bildungsinländer*innen' who obtained their university entrance qualification in Germany; eligible are students in first degree programmes (Bachelor, Diplom, Staatsexamen) up to and including the 3rd semester. International applicants: those who obtained their university entrance qualification abroad may apply for Master studies or main study programmes in Germany (after any required intermediate examinations). Refugees may apply under the same conditions. Priority is given to BAföG recipients and first-generation university students and to applicants from DAC countries who are still in their country of origin at the time of application.

Application is submitted exclusively via the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung online application portal during the announced application periods; required PDF application forms and reference forms must be used.
