Europe Challenge 2025/2026

The Europe Challenge is an annual programme that brings together teams from libraries and communities across Europe to address pressing social, digital, and climate challenges. Libraries develop, share, and implement creative solutions with support from the European Cultural Foundation and partners, through an open call. The programme offers funding, workshops, mentoring, and opportunities for peer exchange and networking.

Funding up to EUR 10,000, online and in-person workshops, mentoring, peer exchange opportunities, networking and travel

Two co-applicants (a library representative and a community group representative) from an eligible country must apply, and at least one of the co-applicants must be registered as a legal entity; both applicants must be at least 18 years old.
