The Consultancy aims to conduct a baseline assessment and analysis of existing mortality data sources and systems in six AU Member States to inform harmonization and improvement of mortality surveillance. The work includes reviewing legal and policy frameworks, data collection tools, SOPs, and interoperability with national CRVS or HMIS platforms, and delivering recommendations and a roadmap for implementation. The assignment is conducted under the Africa CDC/ African Union framework funded by a World Bank-supported project.

Open to consultants/organizations capable of conducting mortality data systems assessments across AU Member States.
