Information

The CSIRO Undergraduate Vacation Studentships are short research placements for high-performing undergraduate students conducted during the Australian summer holidays. Students work on real-world science and related projects alongside CSIRO research staff in CSIRO facilities, typically for 8 to 12 weeks. Placements include mentoring, the possibility of work-integrated-learning credit, and opportunities to present project outcomes. A stipend is provided and in some cases contributions towards travel and accommodation may be available.

Eligibility

Applicants must be enrolled in an undergraduate course at an Australian tertiary education institution, have completed at least one year of full-time undergraduate study by the commencement of the studentship, hold a strong academic record (credit average or higher) or demonstrated capability in the field, and be available to undertake an 8–12 week placement in Australia over the summer vacation period.
