The Canada–G7–Nordic Joint Call for Proposals on Quantum Technologies is a multilateral funding call to support bilateral or multilateral collaborative research projects in quantum science and technologies. It is run jointly by NSERC in partnership with the DFG, JST, UKRI-EPSRC, NSF and NordForsk (on behalf of Innovation Fund Denmark, the Research Council of Finland, the Research Council of Norway and the Swedish Research Council). Proposals may address research challenges across quantum algorithms/encryption, quantum communications, quantum computing, quantum materials and quantum sensing. NSERC will act as Lead Agency and organise the joint review panel.

Eligibility

The principal investigators on each side must be eligible to apply to their respective funding agency. Projects must include at least one researcher eligible to receive NSERC funds. Regular national eligibility rules for DFG funding apply for applicants from Germany.

Application

Submit proposals to NSERC (NSERC acts as Lead Agency). Applicants from Germany must also submit the same documents and additional information to the DFG via the elan portal. Full submission details are available on the NSERC call webpage.
