CIF Grant Competition for Higher Education Institutions

The Competitive Innovation Fund (CIF) grant competition supports higher education institutions to develop specific directions and implement innovative approaches and projects. Priorities include creation or development of joint degree programmes and international accreditation, labour-market oriented and practical-skills programmes, industry cooperation, and entrepreneurship education projects. Eligible applicants are state-established higher education institutions or consortia of HEIs (including at least one state HEI). Grants are awarded to modernize higher education programmes and strengthen links with the labour market.

Grant funding to support creation and development of educational programmes, international accreditation, labour-market oriented programmes, practical skills and entrepreneurship projects, and industry cooperation initiatives.

A state-established higher education institution (single applicant) or a consortium of at least two higher education institutions (of which at least one must be a state-established HEI) may participate.

Submit applications via the grants portal (grants.gov.ge) within the stated submission period and follow the informational and required documents provided on the portal; questions accepted by email until 2023-01-31.
