I Choose Equality Essay Competition

The I Choose Equality Essay Competition invites 15–18-year-old students to write essays on diversity and equality in contemporary Georgia. The competition is organised under the auspices of the Council of Europe Office in Georgia in partnership with the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia. The top ten essays will be published in a collection and the first-place winner will receive a school visit to the Council of Europe in Strasbourg accompanied by a teacher. Submissions must be in Georgian and follow specified formatting requirements.

Publication of the top 10 essays in a collection; first-place prize includes a visit to the Council of Europe in Strasbourg with a teacher; additional prizes for top ten entrants.

Students aged 15–18 are invited to participate; schools in Georgia are encouraged to organise class discussions and submit essays. Essays must be written in Georgian.

Submit the essay in Georgian as an MS Word file (max 1000 words, 12 pt, double-spaced, numbered pages) by email to anti-discrimination@coe.int.
