Outreachy May 2020 Internship Round

Outreachy is a program that provides paid internships working on free and open source software projects with distributed, remote mentors and communities. The May 2020 round placed accepted interns with participating open source communities for a multi-month internship period (May 19, 2020 to Aug 18, 2020). Interns receive milestone stipend payments during the internship. The program is hosted by the Software Freedom Conservancy with support from partner organisations.

$2000 stipend issued mid-internship and a further $2000 stipend later in the internship; mentorship from open source community mentors.

Applicants must engage with projects and contribute to project work during the application/contribution period; see Outreachy eligibility rules for details.

Submit an initial application (opened Jan 20, 2020), contribute to projects during the contribution period (Mar 5 to Apr 7, 2020), and submit a final application by the final deadline.
