Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at Makerere University for Undergraduate Studies 2025/2026

The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at Makerere University provides scholarships for undergraduate studies (Bachelor’s degree) and graduate levels at Makerere University. It aims to support talented young people from Sub-Saharan Africa facing economic barriers and includes holistic support such as tuition, learning materials, accommodation, medical insurance, stipend, and potentially travel. The program is hosted at Makerere University and is presented for the 2025/2026 academic cycle.

Tuition and fees, learning materials, accommodation and meals, medical insurance, stipend, transport to/from home, and laptops.

Applicants must be from Sub-Saharan Africa (including Ugandan nationals, refugees, students with disabilities, internally displaced young people, or international students), have applied for admission to Makerere University's main campus under the private sponsorship scheme for 2025/2026, and meet age and financial hardship criteria among others.
