The UNESCO King Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa Prize recognizes innovative uses of ICT in education and awards a prize of US$25,000 along with a medal and a diploma. The 2025 edition has the theme of preparing learners and teachers for the ethical and responsible use of artificial intelligence, and nominations are invited from individuals, institutions, NGOs or other entities. The prize highlights ongoing projects that promote digital learning and AI literacy in line with this year's theme.

Eligibility

Open to individuals, institutions, non-governmental organizations or other entities; the project must be relevant to the theme and ongoing for at least one year, and not affiliated with UNESCO or funded by UNESCO.

Application

Nominations must be submitted by the National Commission of the UNESCO Member State or an NGO in official partnership with UNESCO; self-nominations are not accepted.
