It is open to individuals, institutions, NGOs or other entities with an ongoing project and offers a prize of US$25,000 along with a medal and a diploma. The 2026 edition focuses on Reimagining creativity and critical thinking with artificial intelligence.

Eligibility

Applications may be submitted by individuals, institutions, non-governmental organizations (NGO) or other entities with an established, ongoing project (operational for at least one year).

Application

Nominations are submitted by the National Commission of the UNESCO Member State or an NGO in official partnership with UNESCO; self-nominations are not accepted.
