Estágios Científicos Avançados em Matemática e Física para Docentes dos PALOP

The Estágios Científicos Avançados em Matemática e Física PALOP are three-month, in-person scientific internships in Portugal for higher education lecturers from PALOP countries. The programme supports up to 15 placements (10 in Mathematics and 5 in Physics) and is intended to strengthen research and pedagogical capacities and foster academic cooperation with Portuguese institutions. Placements are hosted at Portuguese higher education institutions and include a defined supervisor and work plan agreed with the host institution. The initiative is promoted and funded by Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian.

€1,500 monthly subsistence for up to 3 months; travel support (800–1,350 euros depending on country/conditions); travel and personal accident insurance.

Open to nationals and residents of Angola, Cabo Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique and São Tomé and Príncipe who are lecturers at higher education institutions, with a minimum degree of Master or Doctorate in Mathematics, Physics or related areas.
