Information

The Talent Development Awards are grants to support the acquisition and advancement of skills by UK-based researchers in the humanities and social sciences. Awards can support skills development, collaboration or dissemination, including quantitative skills, data science, digital humanities and languages. Grants are intended to enable researchers to develop specialist skills, pilot new methods, and create partnerships to support future larger grants. Awards run for a minimum of six months and up to twelve months with expected start in March 2027.

Eligibility

Lead applicants must be ordinarily resident in the United Kingdom and hold a current long-term appointment at a UK-based Higher Education Institution (HEI) or Independent Research Organisation (IRO) for the full duration of the award; applicants should pursue original, independent research within the Humanities or Social Sciences. Co-applicants may be UK-based or overseas.
