Information

A call for youth-led submissions of innovations that use science, technology, and traditional knowledge to strengthen early warning systems (EWS). Selected entries will be showcased at the Global Multi-Stakeholder Forum on Early Warnings for All in Geneva on 2–3 June 2025, with physical exhibition space and a virtual poster display. Submissions may be one-page visual posters or two-minute videos and should demonstrate contributions to early warnings and resilience. Selection provides visibility and networking opportunities but does not include travel funding.

Benefits

Selected entries will be featured at the Forum (physical exhibition and virtual poster display), gain global visibility and networking opportunities with policymakers, experts and stakeholders in DRR and early warnings.

Eligibility

Individuals, teams, or organizations led by young people aged 18 to 35 from all regions and backgrounds working on early warning systems, disaster risk reduction, resilience or technology-based solutions. Submissions must be youth-led with young people involved in concept, design or implementation.

Application

Prepare a one-page visual poster or a two-minute video explaining the project; submit via email to Ms Nathalie Estiévenart at nathalie.estievenart@undp.org. Submissions accepted in English, French or Spanish.
