Information

The Student Research Competition (SRC) at ACM CHI 2027 is a forum for undergraduate and graduate students to present and compete with short research submissions and presentations. It recognizes outstanding student research with monetary prizes, medals, complimentary ACM student membership and publication as an extended abstract under ACM Open. Top winners proceed to the ACM grand finals to compete with winners from other ACM conferences.

Benefits

Monetary prizes for top three in each category (US$500, US$300, US$200), a medal, one-year complimentary ACM student membership with ACM Digital Library subscription, publication as an ACM Open extended abstract, and finalists progress to the ACM grand finals.

Eligibility

Students must be currently enrolled in a university or college at the time of the initial submission deadline. Graduate (Master or PhD) submissions must be individual work; undergraduates may submit individually or as a team (one designated student presenter). Presenting authors must have an active ACM student membership and register to attend CHI if selected.

Application

Submit online via the PCS Submission System; submissions up to 5 pages, non-anonymous, with proof of student status required. Presenting author must register for the conference if selected.
