The African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Digital Innovation Challenge 2026

The AfCFTA Digital Innovation Challenge 2026 is a competition to identify, nurture, and showcase innovative digital solutions developed by Africans that advance the implementation of AfCFTA digital trade and related regulations. It targets individuals, teams, startups and enterprises from African Union member states, with a focus on solutions addressing cross-border trade barriers and scaled impact. Winners receive capacity building, mentorship, business development support and opportunities to showcase their innovations to ecosystem stakeholders.

Participation in capacity-building programmes, networking opportunities, inclusion in the AfCFTA innovation community, mentorship from industry leaders, and potential incubation/acceleration support for top winners.

Open to individuals, teams, startups and enterprises from African Union member states, aged 18-35, addressing cross-border trade barriers with an operational to scaling digital solution.
