HSRC Internship Programme 2025-2027

The Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC) Internship Programme offers unemployed graduates in Science, Engineering and Technology (SET), Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS) and related fields a structured work placement with mentoring and exposure. The programme aims to help interns gain practical work experience, develop skills for entry into the sector, and contribute to the host institutions' goals. It provides experience in research management, research support, and administration at public higher education and research institutions over a 24-month period.

Monthly stipends for 24 months; practical work experience, mentoring, exposure to host institutions, and development of research management and administration skills.

Unemployed graduates who are 35 years of age or younger at appointment, and who hold an NQF level 7 to 9 qualification from a DHET-accredited higher education institution.
