Equity and Merit Scholarships 2027

The Equity and Merit Scholarships 2027 at the University of Manchester are fully funded scholarships for academically excellent students from select African countries to pursue master’s studies at the university, with on-campus or online options. The scholarships cover full tuition fees, and on-campus recipients receive return airfare, living expenses, and visas. There are 30 scholarships available: 20 on-campus master’s scholarships and 10 online/distance learning scholarships.

Applicants must be residents of Ethiopia, Malawi, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, or Zimbabwe; hold a bachelor’s degree awarded before September 2025 with required grades; have at least two years of professional experience; intend to return to their home country after studies.

Applications open 1 August 2026 and close 31 August 2026; applicants must hold an unconditional offer for their master’s course before shortlisting; submit the Equity and Merit Scholarships application form and provide English language qualification by 30 November 2026
