Funded Research Fellowship in Italy 2027 with a Monthly Stipend of €2,850 and Travel Coverage

The Jean Monnet Fellowship 2027–2028 at the European University Institute in Florence offers an opportunity for experienced researchers to conduct a 12-month independent research project within the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies, while engaging in academic activities and benefiting from the Institute's resources. Selected fellows receive a monthly stipend and support for travel, visa costs and research expenses. The programme is open to researchers holding a PhD, with the PhD awarded more than five years before the fellowship begins, and applicants from around the world are eligible.

€2,850 per month for 12 months; travel, visa, and research expense support; access to Institute facilities; participation in seminars and the research community; potential family allowances.

Applicants must hold a PhD or equivalent and have PhD awarded more than five years before the fellowship begins; applicants must have a suitable research track record and proficiency in English.
