State Financial Aid for Higher Education - Mobility Grant

The State Financial Aid for Higher Education - Mobility Grant is a Luxembourg government subsidy for Luxembourgish students undertaking higher education studies outside Luxembourg. It is intended to help cover the additional housing costs of students living abroad, whether in private rental or shared accommodation. The grant applies to students from undergraduate through doctoral levels who meet the ministry's eligibility conditions. The published annual amount is €3,132, paid in two equal semester instalments.

Available to students eligible for Luxembourg state financial aid who are enrolled in higher education studies outside Luxembourg and who incur and can document housing costs (rental contract and proof of rent payments).

Apply online via the official student financial aid portal (mengstudien.public.lu), submit a complete dossier including rental contract, proof of rent payments and university enrollment certificate, within the semester application periods.
