Merit Scholarship of the University of Lisbon

The Merit Scholarship of the University of Lisbon is a financial award given to students demonstrating exceptional academic excellence. It is paid as a one-off premium to reward top-performing students enrolled at the University of Lisbon. The award is independent of household income and is non-renewable, granted based on the validation of the previous academic year's ECTS credits and very high academic average.

A single cash premium of €3,875 paid to the recipient.

Students must be regularly enrolled at the University of Lisbon and have validated all ECTS credits of the previous academic year with a very high academic average; beneficiaries must not be recipients of a social scholarship that is incompatible under current regulations.

Selection is automatic based on academic results; the University identifies eligible students, transmits lists to the Directorate-General for Higher Education, and informs selected students directly via university services.
