NASW Peggy Girshman Idea Grants Spring 2025

Grants of up to $5,000 to support projects and programs that will help science writers in their professional lives and benefit the field of science writing. Proposals are welcome from individuals or groups across media professions, with a focus on projects aligned with NASW’s mission and accessible to U.S.-based science writers. Applications are open and must be submitted by the stated deadline.

Proposals from journalists, editors, PIOs, staff, freelancers, producers, managers, and others across media professions are welcomed. Applicants located outside the United States may apply, but the proposal must demonstrate a clear benefit to U.S.-based science writers.
