Information

Australia Awards Scholarships are long-term awards administered by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. They provide opportunities for people from developing countries, particularly in the Indo-Pacific region, to undertake full-time undergraduate or postgraduate study at participating Australian universities and TAFEs, with a range of benefits to support study and preparation. The program aims to develop capacity and contribute to development in applicants' countries.

Benefits

Full tuition fees, return air travel, establishment allowance, living stipend, compulsory pre-departure and orientation support, health cover, and potential fieldwork support.

Eligibility

To be eligible, applicants must be at least 18 years old on 1 February of the year of commencement, be a citizen of a participating country and reside in that country, not be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, not be married to or in a de facto relationship with a person who holds Australian or New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency, and meet the admission requirements of the chosen Australian institution.
