Information

The Canon Collins RMTF Scholarships provide postgraduate funding for Masters and PhD studies in South Africa for the 2027 intake. The scholarship covers a period of up to two years for Master’s study and up to three years for PhD study, with potential for a third year contingent on progress. The program focuses on social justice-related fields, including Justice (climate justice, law, economics, politics), Education policy and practice, and Humanities (literature, history, anthropology, and the arts).

Scholarship funding for postgraduate study and participation in the scholars’ network, including involvement in annual conferences and other events.

Eligibility

Applicants must be a national of, or hold refugee status in, an Southern African country and ordinarily resident there; must be applying for or enrolled in a Master’s or PhD program at a South African university; must hold a good Honours degree (for Master’s) or good Master’s degree (for PhD); and demonstrate a sustained commitment to social justice with relevant community engagement.
