Information

The Collaborative Teaching & Scholarship Project Grants provide funding for collaborative scholarship projects related to teaching and learning, curriculum, the student experience and student success in higher education mathematics and its applications. Projects must be collaborative across two or more UK universities and aim to produce tangible, sustainable benefits for students and transferable approaches for other institutions. Grants support projects scheduled for delivery in the academic year immediately following the award and outcomes are evaluated by the LMS Education Committee.

Benefits

Project grant funding up to £3,000; projects with particularly strong outcomes may be invited to contribute to an LMS event or activity.

Eligibility

The Applicant (Project Lead) and collaborators must be mathematical scientists based in the UK, the Isle of Man or the Channel Islands for the duration of the project; project teams must be based across two or more UK universities. The Applicant must have or be building a teaching and scholarship profile in higher education mathematics and be at a career stage prior to Associate Professor/Reader/Professor. PhD students are not eligible.

Application

Applications require evidence of ethics approval, a detailed evaluation and dissemination strategy, and letters of support from Heads of Department of each involved institution confirming workload allocation. If the Applicant is not an LMS member a countersignatory LMS member is required.
