Caring Supplementary Grant

The Caring Supplementary Grant provides a supplementary contribution towards caring costs to enable parents and carers who are mathematicians based in the UK to attend conferences, research schools, meetings or research visits. Grants contribute to extra reasonable care-related costs incurred as a result of participation. Awards require confirmation of participation and a report after the event. The maximum award is £200.

Up to £200 contribution towards caring-related costs (childcare, carers, travel for dependants etc.) to enable attendance at conferences or research visits.

Any mathematician based in the UK may apply; non-members must have their application countersigned by an LMS member. PhD students should submit a letter of support from their department.

Submit the LMS application form; non-members require countersignature by an LMS member. Applicants must confirm participation and the extra reasonable care costs, and will be notified after quarterly committee decisions. A report is required after the event.
