EPFL Excellence Fellowships

The EPFL Excellence Fellowships support outstanding students pursuing a Master’s degree at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). Fellowships are awarded to a limited number of highly qualified candidates based on academic excellence, qualifications and motivation. Recipients receive financial support per semester, possible guaranteed student accommodation for eligible external candidates, and a certificate of excellence upon completion. The fellowship covers Master’s programmes across a broad range of scientific, engineering and technical fields at EPFL.

CHF 10,000 per semester; coverage for up to 3–4 semesters depending on programme credits; reservation of student accommodation for eligible external candidates; certificate of excellence upon completion.

Applicants must meet the admission requirements for an EPFL Master’s programme, demonstrate outstanding academic performance and motivation, not already hold a Master’s degree, and not be already enrolled in a Master’s programme at EPFL. Both EPFL Bachelor graduates and students who earned a Bachelor’s degree at another institution may be considered.

Apply via EPFL’s online Master’s application, select an eligible Master’s programme, indicate that the application should be considered for an Excellence Fellowship, and submit required admission documents before the applicable deadline.
