Megatrends Afrika Project Fellowships 2025

The Megatrends Afrika Project Fellowships are research fellowships for African researchers. Fellows conduct a research project for three months between March and October 2025, full-time, and contribute a paper to the project’s publication series. Fellows reside in the host institution city (Berlin, Bonn or Kiel) and participate in project meetings and activities of the host institutions.

Monthly grant of €2,800; economy-class return travel to Germany; transport and telecommunications support; visa-related support; participation in host institution activities; opportunity to contribute to policy-relevant research and publication.

Preferably completed PhD in political science, economics, social sciences, geography, international relations, or relevant area studies; originating from an African country; strong research and publication track record; experience in scientific policy advice is an advantage.
