Future computing paradigms Network Plus

The Future computing paradigms Network Plus is a multidisciplinary UK funding opportunity to establish a national research network addressing emerging and longer-term computing paradigms. It will fund a programme comprising an initial 18-month evidence-gathering phase followed by a 42-month network phase, supporting activities across materials, devices, architectures, software and applications and socio-technical research. Projects can run up to 60 months and will deliver evidence-based recommendations and a strategic roadmap for UKRI and government. Successful projects will be expected to engage broadly across UKRI and UK government departments, including the National Security and Defence community where relevant.

Project funding of up to £2,240,000 (80% FEC) for projects with FEC up to £2.8 million; support for a 60-month programme (18-month evidence phase + 42-month network phase) and network activities.

Applicants must be based at a UK research organisation eligible for EPSRC funding. International researchers may only participate as a 'project co-lead (international)' using the UKRI-RCN Money Follows Cooperation agreement; other international collaborators should be included as project partners. An expression of interest must be completed to be eligible to apply.
